It’s time for a summer challenge and instead of one big challenge (that doesn’t quite suit everyone) we’re declaring it Awesome August!!! Any club member can share their challenge and who they’re fundraising for and we’ll share here/on socials and cheer you on! Summer is soooo much more enjoyable with a target!
The Challenge: Totally up to you (as long as it’s safe).
- Endurance or Distance e.g. walking or cycling. How many times can you walk around the Oval at Abbey Park?
- Time based e.g. a sponsored silence, board game marathon, online gaming stream,
- Quantity based e.g. bags of litter picked, hours volunteered,
- Creative e.g. design a t-shirt or art work and sell, profits to your cause
There are loads of ideas out there and you can jump onto our social media or chat at the next event to find yours.
The Cause: Also up to you. We’ll share those with official fundraising pages or those sharing the StarBase Leicester Page (TBC)

Captain Sam’s Sponsored Silence!
- Challenge: 24 hours of zero verbal communication, no sign language or writing or texting and I have to take a selfie at each of my work places and the clock tower!

- Target: £504 That’s one year of hall rental for the club
