Join us for a team walk towards the big 2023 challenge! All in aid of Loros, getting out and about with friends and helping the planet!
We are walking, cycling or even rowing 1779 miles! (not all in one go of course!) That’s the same distance Frodo and Sam travelled with the One Ring between Hobbiton and Mount Doom.
Today we will be exploring Bradgate Park in search of the Old John Tower. This time it’s a little different, if we cannot get everyone there car sharing it will be taxies split amongst those travelling (approx. £16 for 4 people one way) so PLEASE if you can definitely make the event and take people let Captain Sam know.
Info and tips:
- Start point: Jubilee square 2pm or 2:30 at the Newtown Linford Carpark https://w3w.co/energy.chase.visits
- Distance: exploring (Carpark to old john is approximately a mile unless we get lost)
- Feel free to bring a Pic-Nic if the weather holds out
- Have a fully charged phone so strava can track your distance.
- Pace: We will pace to our slowest team members or split into speedy and chilled teams depending on the day. PLEASE NOTE this will be uneven ground and a hill
- Please wear sensible shoes and weather appropriate clothing
